For domestic alarms, it's recommended that you have your alarm system maintained once per year.

For commercial premises, it's recommended that your alarm system is maintained twice per year, making sure that the monitoring station is receiving signals and there is no damage to your equipment.

The maintenance of your security systems should be regarded as a necessity, you've invested in your systems to protect your property and what you care about most, so regular maintenance is essential to keep your systems working as required.

• Activate the system & check internal and external sounders.
• Inspect & test all detection devices to ensure they are clean and operational.
• Inspect all equipment for signs of damage and corrosion.
• Check & test all 24 hour and panic alarm circuits.
• Check tampers and warning devices for correct operation.
• Inspect & test all power supplies and back up batteries.
• Check cables and connections for wear and tear.
• Check coverage and response of intruder & smoke detection devices.
• Test signalling devices for monitored systems to ensure they are communicating with the monitoring station.
• Confirm entry / exit times are programmed to customer requirements.
• Check the location of equipment against the specification and update zone list as required.
• Check the log to see any recent false alarms or faults.
• Cleaning equipment and cameras to ensure they are working at full capacity.
• Full engineer report is provided on completion of maintenance.
